Slow Dance

Slow Dance

This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer. She wants to see how many people get her poem.  It is quite the poem Please pass it on.

Life_Is_A_Journey
This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a New York Hospital .
It was sent by a medical doctor -
Make sure to read what is in the closing statement AFTER THE POEM.

“SLOW DANCE”

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast. innerlightLarge

Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Do you run through each day
On the fly?

When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed

With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You’d better slow down
Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won’t last.
Ever told your child,
We’ll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die

Cause you never had time
To call and say,’Hi’
You’d better slow down.
Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.
The music won’t last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift….
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.

Do take it slower and hear the music
Before the song is over.

I hope that you are blessed and that you are all carrying the Vision and dreams for a better world high as never before.

Members,I just wanted to update you all on the situation back here in Kenya,I must say that we are  now experiencing some rain in most parts of the country at last! this means a lot because since January this group has dedicated it’s work in addressing the hunger which is being experienced in Our Nation and so to speak I see hope since most farmers have now embarked on planting and that means our people will eventually have food on the table, once Our country will have some harvest it will mean food prices will go down and significantly no one will die of hunger.

I therefore congratulate you all for your solidarity, support and encouragement,I know many of you believe in the dream of a better world and hence your spirit of giving towards this cause has been encouraging,More so I want to thank you for having not left the group simply because we asked you to give towards saving a life.Soon we shall have a reason to smile for we will have helped someone to see the next harvest season and hence there will be plenty for all on the table.

I also want to thank those members here who have come up with ideas to enhance our fund raising, thanks Sajjid Manuel and it’s my hope that you will soon share your thought with all members here.

From the bottom of my heart I say thank you.

Therefore Note that End of June will be the end of our save a life campaign and we shall move on to focus on other issues aimed at empowering  our people.

I am therefore urging all of you to donate towards Our 1/June activity.
Note that 1/June is our Independence day here in Kenya and as a group we would like to dedicate the day in taking supplies e.g food to slums and Orphanage in Nairobi depending on how much we shall have in our Kitty.

I am therefore urging members to extend their hand of Kindness and touch a life, remember this is the link to donate:

Stitching The World Together

We  want  to introduce you  to-day  to one of Jared Ondieki’s  FaceBook  groups he has on there and feel  free to join us all there, where we further work together for the good of the underprivilaged & starving Children.

Here is a typical message that Jared sends to the  group  Stiching  The  World  Together , and each week he works relentlessly to not only help his countrymen  but to also bring encouragement and pride to those committed to helping his causes. We will also feature some more photo’s taken by Jared on the children’s day out at  Easter.

Jared Akama Ondieki sent a message to the members of Stitching The World Together.

——————–
Subject: Dear Member

Dear Member,

It’s indeed an honor to have new members join with us.
From the Bottom of my heart we welcome you to this group.with hope that our numbers now at over 750 we are able to engineer  a  change aimed at restoring what a true life is.It’s beyond doubt that we have been created for a purpose and we must all use our skills and talents to ensure we leave the world a better place than we found it,then the coming generation will have a reason to build those several monuments in honor of our responsible characters.A powerful heritage of Unity,Interdependence,Prosperity and Peace is what we desire to hand over to the next generation.

Having said this,Our numbers now is our power and if used well, all what this group stands for shall be achieved. And it all depends how we utilize this.I remember sometime back, there is this body builder who visited a village, and when the villagers  saw him, they were so amazed and baffled.
Later, the chief called in the gentleman in his office with an intention of knowing more about Him,Indeed his body was amazing!

After,a long chat. The chief convinced him to show the villagers on what he used his body for.Willing and Enthusiastic he looked forward to show the villagers his mighty. So the following day,the Villagers were mobilized to order  in a gathering and when everything was set,the body Builder got into action.
Half Necked,he begun to muscle his body and indeed the Villagers were astonished by the biceps and all about the body of this great gentleman.

Within 10 minutes he was done and indeed what a body he had. So,the chief expecting more, asked him what else he did with his body for and the body builder answered,” That is all” !!!….. ” What a waste”!! the chief replied!.Annoyed and disappointed, the chief dispersed the people, who left disappointed as well.

Indeed, lets utilize our mass well! Lets believe that we can change things with our numbers we can make our dreams come true by combining out talents and skills well,Our talents ,Knowledge and skills can not be of help to us if not used well or shared out.

Have a great day!
Will you?

A Day Out For The Children Thanks To Your Donations & Jared

A Day Out For The Children Thanks To Your Donations & Jared

I love to help these children find a life and help them  Stitch their World  Together again as they are orphans and rely on us all for their security, education and well being as they re-adjust to no family and loved ones.

We also intend to raise further funds to set  Jared and the children up with a computer and the internet for further  projects and learning, should you know of any one or you may like to yourself assist us  with the funds to set them up properly. Then they too can experience some of the basics that we take for granted and never think twice  about in our safe and secure world.

Distributing Food and Orange Juice To Children in The Slums

Our main objective is to do our utmost to assist these underpriviliged and orphaned children survive their predicament and go on to become proud and upstanding citizens.  And the more people who join us  by becoming  a Member of  Stitching  The  World  Together the more we can do as a combined and powerful force. Very similar to the story Jared told us of the body builder, thank you all once again for your interest and support of  Consider The Children.

The Power of Love for Children

Michelle James – Deramo  Who spent time with these children on a recent trip to Kenya has supplied us with many photo’s of the children at the orphanage. This is one we share to-day.

I am always proud to write about these beautiful children, and today is no different . I have had  4  children of my own and we lost a son  Athol  at  21 yrs, we also have 10 grandchildren so I know what it is like to love a child and  lose a child.

The children  in this photo are an example of some of the starving and orphaned children that have been saved from certain death and their future is just a little brighter now, thanks to the efforts of CEPACET and Jared  Akama Ondieki with  their endless efforts to save as many as possible and  co-ordinate food programs and fund raising.

We are all aware of the current downturn in the worlds  financial situation, so I see this as very sad times for the  already starving children.  They are perishing by hundreds each and every day now, so how bad is it going to get in the near future as the economy faces even tighter times .  How sad also to know that there is more than enough food  in the world to feed the whole worlds population  and that is  fact, not  fiction.

Too much greed and corruption with certain governments around the world, prevent relief from being delivered to where it is needed, so these individuals are totally reliant on donations and assistance from you the general public, we all know this  is  wrong  yet  who  can  standby and watch a child squirming in the dust, to weak to stand and dying.  The food will prevent them from dying, they are in many cases orphans with no family  or next of kin to give them the main ingredient of life after nourishment,  and my friends all humans require this……LOVE ….. I have seen first hand and experienced   The  Power of  Love  for Children.

The children above in the photo are glowing, you will find that it is the love and  affection they are getting at the orphanage that does this  ,  not  the  food as it is only the fuel for the body.  My mission from here on since becoming aware of the problems the underprivilaged and starving children face , is to make a difference and I could use some help from  whoever  feels they can  assist me and the others as we virtually are facing an uphill battle.

We move onto a lighter note now as I would like to report on behalf of Jared that the  food and easter goodies have all been distributed among the orphans and some of the families in the street slum area’s.  So to those who donated for this we thank you all so very much, as  none of the food you donated towards was wasted and it has helped so many.
After this  photo I want to hand you over to  Barbara  Horst with her report as she  does a great job for Jared.

Here is another photo of the children , this time with Michelle who the children grew to love.

PART 1

Gifts  Of  Honor-  we run a group for  Jared and the children on Facebook which you can join or  like most do, they donate what they can afford in honor of some one they love or admire, and we then aknowlege them and the honor.

This group is to empower and encourage people who can’t wait to reach out beyond themselves. We envision everyone empowered to experience the joy of giving.

The amount is inconsequential, (Do keep in mind that paypal fees eat up small amounts, so put amounts smaller than $5 or $10 into your CEPACET piggy bank until they add up that.) It is the act of moving toward connecting with others in the sharing of ourselves that is thrilling. The amounts we give, no matter what they are will only be multiplied by the purity of our good intentions.

Here is the donation link:
All proceeds got to provide nourishment and basic supplies for those in extremely strained circumstances in Kenya.
You can read more about the project here:
Peace to all,
Barbara Horst

Thank you for that report Barbara, and she will have two more parts to that over the next couple of publications,  so keep an eye out for that.

To all our followers and readers I hope you spent some quality time with loved ones and family over easter, and that you never ate too much chocolate.  I was fortunate enough to have some of my grandchildren, visit and share chocolate eggs with  Poppy & Nanny,  that is when I also got  to again witness  The  Power of  Love for  Children .
I will bid  you all farewell for now and ask that you  Consider The Children and the love they need.

Easter is approaching fast (April 12th!) as is CEPACET’s Easter event.

Our Easter bunny is cooking up a good tale to tell in hopes of including you the CEPACET member reader in its story of the transcendence of life, love and healing over suffering. I see its ears perked … listening to see who might have some beautiful eggs or reminders of birth and life for those who find themselves in situations that threaten to pull them backwards into forgetting about possibilities and realities of radiant, abundant life. These qualities can only be recognized when our inherent perfection is remembered. Sometimes it takes a good friend who speaks the language of our heart to help us remember the perfection inside us that we so easily forget.

Our little bunny is searching for Easter eggs among the many CEPACET members. Some colored and beautiful, some plain; all fertile. Inside is everything good; everything encouraging; inside is the fullness of life and a mother’s nurturing love waiting to emerge to bless all who are willing to receive.

If you have been visited by our imaginary Easter bunny and are inspired to be one of these friends and to place your imaginary egg into its basket for a trip to Kenya so that those welcoming encouragement, such as the children in orphanages may receive some degree of the qualities of nurture and abundance during their Easter time, you may do that by donating at this link:

I would like to encourage  all to  do their utmost to assist us in providing these children with the very basics in life that we all take for granted.  You may say what would a few dollars do to help ?  Well  friends  $10
is the difference between life and death for most of the starving children, sad yet  true.

I first would like to  thank all those  who put in the efforts in the background yet never get recognised for this ,Barbara  Horst has a big input to the articles you get to read and she is in control of the proper allocation of all the donations, so rest assured when you donate  $10  the children get the full benefit of the money  as we all  work  for free and our donation is our  time for the children. Children Searching for Water to Survive

Could you imagine having to do what these children in this story  do  ?jared-akama-ondieki3

Well my friends to-day I once again would like t0

share with you all  another story of children having to struggle for basics that we all take for granted, in this case it is what they are required to do generally on a daily basis just so they have water.  While we are standing in the shower next time, perhaps we may want to consider  Children Searching for Water to Survive as you stand there for 15  minutes  watching all the water go down the drain.

Jared Akama Ondieki sent a message to the members of CENTER FOR PARTNERSHIP AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT TRUST (CEPACET).
Dear Members &  Friends

I hope you are fine,
We did mark Water’s day over the last weekend and hence I dedicate this to Tatu Kenga,Please read this:

Girl Beacon Of Hope Where Water Is Scarce.

Despite her tender age coupled with her innocence,Tatu Kenga is an icon in the village. In this area where water  is scarce commodity,Tatu is a symbol of hope that someday they will have Plenty of it.

It all started when she met water and irrigation Minister Charity Ngilu in one of her visits to the area. And she has since become the talk of the district.
Ngilu was struck with a pitiable image as Tatu balanced a 20-Litre water Jerry can on her head. The Minister stopped her convoy and alighted from her vehicle, removed her digital camera and took pictures of the little girl who was lagging behind her mother after a six Kilometer trek in search of water.

That was the beginning of a new life for the young Tatu.Ngilu’s ministry has taken up Tatu’s image to campaign against water shortage in the coastal

region.

The water Ministry has adorned a page of the water service Trust Fund 2009 wall calender with  Tatu’s Picture ,carrying a Jerry Can.
A caption under the picture reads ” Girl Child Bear The Burden Of Carrying Water”
Her 78 year old Father Mzee John Kenga, who has 20 other children no longer send s her for water after the minister promised to address the issue.

Callenders bearing the Pictures of the shy Tatu are in possession of almost every household in the village. This reminds them all of the  Children Searching for Water to Survive .

Like Tatu, most children in Kilifi,Kaloleni,Kwale,Kinango and Taita district spend most of their times drawing water. Most of them are, therefore, not in school despite the free Primary school that was rolled out by the government in 2003.Area Chief Joseph Kitsao said it was a normal routine for children to fetch water as their parents looked for food to feed them.”This is routine here,we have had no alternative.” he said.Ngilu said she was ashamed to see a young girl of Tatu’s age struggle with 20 litre of water on her head.

”I felt ashamed and touched by the young tired child who had walked for more than 5 kilometer in search of dirty water for drinking, yet the problem could be solved because it is under my docket”,said Mrs Ngilu.”No meaningful development in any community can be achieved without clean and reliable water supply,’’she said.

She said the Government had disbursed Sh 50 million to complete Mwijo Water project, targeted to serve more than 22,000 people. She also ordered the expansion of Kwa Filipo Dam where hundred of community families depend on for water,

But since then Tatu now rest easy without walking long distance to fetch water.

According to her mother Mrs Kabibi Kenga,Tatu is a celebrity in the whole village.Visitors and passerby thronged to their home, just to catch a glimpse of Tatu.”We have a lot of visitors coming here daily and we have stopped her going to the wells to fetch water. She says.

Mrs,Kenga blames lack of water as the main reason behind her children not enrolling in schools.
”My children usually spend more than six hours everyday in search of water and even more during the dry season” Mrs Kenga said. All the children had not j

oined school because they could not go on an empty stomach.

She said.

Have a blessed day.

Jared Akama Ondieki.

I pray our story has enlightened you on the struggles of unfortunate children on our Planet.  I  look forward to bringing you another post soon and maybe we can all now think of  Children  Searching for Water to  Survive when we next see some one wasting it.

Brothers and Sisters Affected by Hunger

united-children1

We  are all so very lucky to have been born into  a loving environment where we are fed ,housed, cared for and never have to worry about too much. Please never ever take this for granted and be grateful for all you have in life

Just for a moment as you read this I want you to join me in thinking of all our Brothers and Sisters around the world who are not as fortunate as we are, they in some area’s are in fact dying as we read this like flies . It is not our fault and perhaps no ones fault yet we can help our fellow man by working towards a better world where the world lives in peace and considers all human beings equal and share with those Brothers and Sisters around the world in need.

As most of you know my thoughts and passion is for all children around the world & at the moment I am working in conjunction with CEPACET  in  Kenya and a wonderful young  man  Jared Akama Ondieki . God bless him and the the people who have given donations previously to feed and save the lives of so many children affected by famine, many of which have been orphaned and left to fend for themselves and in most cases just lie on the ground so weak and  wait till death or help comes to end their suffering.

Jared has managed to save a lot of these children  and set them  up in orphanages where they are cared for and fed,  he keeps me informed of his progress and sends me reports and photo’s  of the children in his care.  To-day  I want to share with you all a special little photo album my beautiful wife Sandra has put to-gether of  some of the children we  love and care about in our lives, please note a mixture of  our own Grandchildren of which we have 10  and some of the children from the orphanage, we love them all.
Click the link below and it will take you to the album……..once there give it time to load properly and you can then turn the pages by clicking the arrows at the bottom of the page.

My next  goal which is very critical  in the rescue of more  of our Brothers and Sisters , will be to raise enough money to purchase and set up Jared with a computer, printer & internet connection so as to co-ordinate  and get the maximum leverage of all our efforts. It will also be used to help in the  education of these children.  Should you feel you can help in any way to assist us with this equiptment, please contact me personally and we can discuss how you can help.    AllenSentance@gmail.com

Children and Families perish in Australian Bushfires

Join  me as I  share my feelings for the unfortunate  children & their families.  Also as I honour those  firefighters who have worked tirelessly to beat these  catastrophic  bushfires.

I am sure you are aware of the tragedy by now that is unfolding in Victoria  Australia , it has been declared the worst  natural  disaster in Australian history.  It has also been called  in a news media coment from the Australian  Prime Minister  , Kevin  Rudd  ” Mass  Murder”  as most of these fires were deliberately  lit by arsonists.  Whole towns have been wiped out and are now declared  crime scenes, as they are still searching for more bodies, victims & clues.

I find it very hard to come to terms with the devastation and human suffering that it has bought to my countrymen, and at the same time like many others I feel so helpless and would love to help. I have been  praying for the people  and the effected families since last saturday when they first announced the number of deaths as  25   and it was expected to reach as many as  40……… I was effected deeply then.  Now on Tuesday,  4  days later they have reported  173  dead  and they  expect it to reach  200 ,  so folks are absolutely devastated.  It has also effected my wife Sandra emotionally as she has taken  $1000  dollars from an account she was putting together for a trip and given it to the  Bushfire appeal, she said  darling  I have to help these people.

As most of my followers know  I am passionate about helping children who are suffering in the world, this is another form of suffering children now have to deal with, can you even begin to imagine what is going through a childs mind if they were fortunate enough to survive and their family members did not, also how many have survived with horrific  injuries and burns they have not told us that yet.  I do not need to  describe the devastation any further as the media will no doubt keep us up to date with the    details as they unfold.

My whole reason for this post is to  ask you to  CONSIDER  THE  CHILDREN  and their  families in a moment of desperate need as the majority of the survivors only have what they stand up in, and if you can find it in your heart to help out  with a donation…… no matter how small,  in this hour of need it will make a difference.   I will put the official  Bushfire Appeal  link  below,  should you want to help.

DONATE  HERE…….

http://www.redcross.org.au/default.asp

Ther is another way that you can help out and show your support for all concerned ,  they
have set up  a special group for the  Bushfires  victims and supporters.   This is where you can join and share your feelings and comments with your friends and the survivors themselves,  you can also show your appreciation for all the  firefighter, red cross  & all the volenteers who are helping as this tragedy  unfolds.   I will place the link below for you to join the  Facebook Group and show your support.

http://apps.facebook.com/causes/213558?m=95f327ac&recruiter_id=11980158

I  am sad to report on this event and would have rathered it never happened,  life can be  so cruel and we are left speechless at times and wondering  WHY ??  how could such a thing happen to so many innocent people . Life does go on from here though, all we can do is learnfrom the event any lessons  and share our grief with each other, then focus on the future and move on with our lives as soon as we all can.

We will never forget this dark day in our lives and Australian history  GOD  BLESS  ALL CONCERNED.

Thank you all for reading this post and I will see you all perhaps with some thing a little more uplifting in the near future, until then take care and be grateful for what you have in your life.

Young Girls Traded By Parents for Creditor Payments

It is sad in a modern world that these sorts of things are in existance , only this week  Barrack  Obama  created history  and made his african people proud  as he was elected and sworn in as the first  black  president of the USA .

Now the sad part is that  the African  Government  spent  hundreds of thousands of dollars just to have representatives attend  Barrack Obama’s  celebrations ,  while back in Africa there are children dying  and families trying to survive on an average of $1-00 per day.  It just does not add up and I am in no way pointing the finger at  Barrack  Obama as I am one to support him.  Congratulations for the world I say, as his election has given hope to so many around the world for his achievement.

Well this week & next I want to share with you all some information that I have come accross that quite honestly needs to be pointed out to the world why we need to  CONSIDER  THE  CHILDREN .

Girl child education remains elusive

A combination of poverty, disease and backward cultural practices continue to deny the girl child her right to education. However, the government and the civil society are at the forefront of making her realise her dreams.
Esther Mwangi

Even with the introduction of free primary education, access to it education is still remains a pipe dream to many Kenyan children. Whereas the introduction of free primary education last year saw an increase in the enrolment, a sizeable number of children, especially girls still find themselves out of school owing to a number of reasons.

James Mwangi, an inspector of primary schools revealed that most girls enter school at a late age because of the demand for their labour in their homes such as assisting in looking after their young siblings.

Mary Gathoni, 15, had this experience: “I had this rare chance of going back to school when education was made free. However, my dreams were cut short when my parents decided to marry me off to their creditor without my consent. When I tried to resist, they threatened me with death”, she says amid sobs.

In similar circumstances, a 16-year-old girl from the central Kiambu district, who preferred anonymity was married off as soon as she was circumcised at the age of 13, thereby shattering her academic dreams.

Said she: “I thought of becoming a doctor but my dreams were shattered when my father, a Maasai decided to marry me off so that she could get dowry to add to his riches. At the age of 14, I gave birth and almost died in the process”, she recalled bitterly. The girl, now expecting her second child, did not escape from poverty and her parents have nothing to show for the dowry they received.

Some parents justify the denial of girls of their right to education to prevent them from bringing shame to the family through early pregnancy. Yet others believe that women who are at the same level of education as the men are a disgrace to the community because more often than not, they will not get married and if they do, it will be to a foreigner. For such parents, early marriage is the best way to prevent this and at the same time preserve traditions.

We  are still in the process  of establishing the complete  “CONSIDER  THE  CHILDREN” organisation  and will keep you all up to date as  to the developments and information as it becomes available to us.  We would however at this stage appreciate your help by making others aware of our existance and spreading the word.  Thank you all so much for visiting and we will continue next week.

Hey………..life is good………  Try some to-day

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am so honored and privileged to add my voice in this gathering.

I wish I was there physically to personally say, ”Hello Chicago”, but I feel spiritually there with you and hence I take the opportunity to thank my good friend Veronique Rodriguez for making this happen.

I will start by sharing a common saying in my village, that a nice resolution is like a baby crying in church, the baby has to be taken out of the church immediately!

It’s with this resolve that I join with you Peace Ambassadors to urge for your persistence to ensure that Our resolve to see Peace across the world is arrived at as soon as possible. That triumph will finally bring to a close a history of long years of war, enmity and loss of life.

Thus, it will mark a great step forward in history and also serve as a common pledge of the people of the world to Embrace Peace wherever they are.

Brothers and sisters, of late I have come to believe that for us to achieve this we must adopt the spirit of Interdependence. We must all come to accept that no man is an island and hence we must co-exist. We must realize that we need each other to survive, that we are all living in one world and we should live as Brothers and Sisters. We were not created by The Almighty to be enemies, but to live in Harmony and accomplish our Purpose of ensuring that we leave this world a better place than we found it.

My friends, a contemporary man is a man who understands Peace. A man who understands fashion is the one who understands Peace and speaks Peace. Lets all be re-invented and re-energized to building Peace wherever we are and wherever we go.

My friends, at the tip of the World, a rich reward is in the making, an invaluable gift is in the preparation, for those who suffered in the name of all humanity when they sacrificed everything – for liberty, peace, human dignity and human fulfillment.
This reward will not be measured in money. Nor can it be reckoned in the collective price of the rare metals and precious stones that rest in the bowels of the Worlds soil we tread on in the footsteps of our ancestors. It will and must be measured by the happiness and welfare of the children, the most vulnerable citizens in any society and the greatest of our treasures. It’s Peace that will reward us all.
The children must at last play in the open fields, no longer tortured by the pangs of hunger or ravaged by disease or threatened with the scourge of ignorance, molestation and abuse, and no longer required to engage in deeds whose gravity exceeds the demands of their tender years. Peace will ensure that no one dies from hunger, for more efforts will have been put into producing more, rather than destroying the little there is in our farms.

The reward of which I have spoken will and must also be measured by the happiness and welfare of the mothers and fathers of these children, who must walk the earth without fear of being robbed, killed for political or material profit, or spat upon because they are beggars. They too must be relieved of the heavy burden of despair which they carry in their hearts, born of hunger, homelessness and unemployment.

The value of our shared reward will and must be measured by the joyful Peace which will triumph, because the common humanity that bonds both black and white into one human race will have said to each one of us that we shall all live like the children of paradise.
Thus shall we live, because we will have created a society which recognizes that all people are born equal, with each entitled in equal measure to life, liberty, prosperity, human rights and good governance.
We pray that those who have the power to do so will, without further delay, use their talents and energies for the greater good of the people of their country and humanity as a whole.

Let the striving of us all prove Martin Luther King Jr to have been correct when he said that humanity can no longer be tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war. Let the efforts of us all prove that he was not a mere dreamer when he spoke of the beauty of genuine Brotherhood and Peace being more precious than diamonds or silver or gold.
We all want Peace. Peace we can believe in and Yes, we can get Peace in Our World.

Finally, I conclude by giving you an encounter I had in a Conference I attended in my neighboring Country of Uganda.
It’s this encounter with an old man from the North of Uganda that changed my thinking. Dressed in a woolen knit coat, short and bare footed, with a withered face perhaps due to the lack of shelter, he asked me, “Jared, do you think my village will have Peace? Do you think I will ever be rejoined by my wife and little children who were captured by the rebel group? Will our leaders ever restore Peace?”.
Looking at his face and seeing his stream of tears, I could not hold back my tears too.

The North of Uganda has remained without Peace for the last 21 years due to the Rebel groups lead by Mr. Joseph Kony.
Mr. Rakweta, just as we join people like you to Pray for Peace and to advocate for Peace, we Promise never to give up until the last person enjoys Peace. Indeed, this is the reason for this gathering. To add our voice in this noble task to realize Peace on our dear Earth.

Lets get the Crying Baby out of church. Lets get Peace Out.

Let a New Age Dawn!
Thank you.
