Gearing up for The Children in 2009
Hi all my wonderful & supportive friends, we managed to have some quiet time over christmas with friends and family & I hope you managed that as well. My mind has been very much occupied with some ideas we have to implement for the betterment of the children of the world this coming year.
Within the next month we should have an outline of what we are intending to achieve & as with any institution or group we are open to ideas, suggestions & any assistance you feel you can offer. One of our main objectives at this stage is to let the world know we exist & to have as many folks join us as possible, because we need numbers which will help us get established much quicker.
From there, numbers will begin to create the momentum & momentum in turn creates the action. We are only a new group getting started & every journey as we know always starts with the first steps. It is not acceptable in our modern day & age to see innocent children who have no control over their situations and wellbeing, getting dealt the horrible issues we are all aware of without me outlining them here, they are far too numerous & wide spread. So if you can find it in your heart to assist us getting the causes for the children up and running that would be excellent, Jared Akama Ondieki is currently in the feild and I recieved a message to-day to say he will be catching a bus to Nairobi where he will have internet contact again and we will be discussing some of the proposed projects .
Jared has also introduced me to the most lovely and committed TraceyLee who is the Coordinator for Partnership and Civic Engagement Trust . Tracey along with other committed community organisations are already making headway with other projects & I feel truly privilaged to have her work with us and help co-ordinate our efforts.
We also intend to build our own non profit website to conduct all business for the children through, so if you feel you can assist in any way with type of input please put your hand up, we need folks like you or should I say the children need us all. Feel free to contact any of us should you need to.
